St. Jerome Catholic Church

The staff at St Jerome Catholic Church in Waco had grown frustrated with relying on Parishioners who had volunteered to help out with their website needs. Sadly, someone with great ideas and good intentions would come along and make some progress, and then lose interest in the project.
I was brought in to take the reigns and finish out the project, ultimately delivering a website which they can update largely themselves, with a clean, user-friendly design.
It was also important to ensure that the site is accessible as possible, since one of the parishioners is blind. I used simple, semantic markup which screen readers can easily parse and positioned "skip" links strategically throughout the content to make the site easier to navigate using only a screen reader.
The visual design was a collaboration with Brandon at Impulse Development
